Following the demonstration, you will have the opportunity to paint and apply the concepts presented. Methods for creating effective clouds and skies will be explored, as well as how to mix a natural looking green. You'll also learn how to achieve spatial depth using a prismatic color approach. Individual instruction will be provided throughout the day.

Participants should plan on making at least two sketches a day and perhaps extra for "do-overs." Make sure you have Cadmium Lemon Yellow, Cobalt Blue, French Ultramarine and Ivory Black plus whatever colors you're comfortable working with. Bring landscape reference pictures with good light and shadows and/or an interesting weather effect for use on a rainy day.
